Apple Inc., formerly known as Apple Computer, Inc., is an American multinational corporation headquartered in California. This Company designs, develops and sells electronics, computer software and computers all around the world. Its best known hardware is known as the Mac, which is in the line of computers, the iPod (a music player), the iPhone (smartphone) and the iPad (a tablet computer). All of these devices mention are programed by a software made by the company called the OS X and the iOS operating system. The company was found on April 1st 1976 and incorporated as Apple Computer Inc. on January 3rd 1977.

Apple became the world’s second-largest information technology company by revenue after the Samsung Electronics, and the world’s third largest smart phone maker after Samsung as well. Fortune magazine named Apple the most admired company in the year 2008, and the world from 2008 to 2012. However, that doesn’t mean this company went upscale all the way. They received criticism for its contractors’ labour practices and for Apple’s own environmental and business practices. Example, Apple Computer Inc. had an iPod-related public relations headache this week, following a report by a British newspaper on working conditions at Chinese factories. That Chinese factory that manufactures iPods employs over 200,000 workers who live in dormitories where visitors are not allowed to enter. Apple issued a statement saying it is investigating the matter. "Apple is committed to ensuring that working conditions in our supply chain are safe, workers are treated with respect and dignity, and manufacturing processes are environmentally responsible," the company statement said. Even when Apple Inc. have issues with the criticism, they still are able to maintain their standards and move on to produce great results. To millions of consumers, the Apple brand shows great quality, prestige, and even innovation. Apple brand is valued at more than 153 billion USD which makes it the most valuable brand worldwide.

The 1st Apple product that was invented was Apple I, which was really different from the Apple produced now. This project was done with the help of Steve Job's partner and co-founder of Apple I, Steve Wozniak. The issue with the Apple I is that it lacked a graphic user interface (GUI), which is a type of user interface that allows user to interact with electronic devices using images rather than text commands. Other than that, buyers also need to add on their own keyboard and display to use the Apple I. Steve Jobs convinced the Wozniak that the keyboard and the display can be sold as a commercial product. The Home Computer Club helped to unveiled Apple I and place it on sale for the price of 666.66 USD.

Jobs and Wozniak didn't stop there. They continued to produce more innovative products. They reached to about 1 million USD in sales. But in the mid-1980s, there were difficulties that raised up for Apple. Example: Apple Lisa was introduced in the year 1983 and it cost 10,000 USD. The plan didn't work out well. In the year 1985, Steve Jobs excluded himself from Apple Computer Inc. due to the internal conflicts with the Apple CEO. The company underwent several CEO changes due to the unsuccessful progress in the company....
