An organisation in the circuit board manufacturing industry is planning to expand their operations offshore. It is looking to establish its operations in the new emerging market countries, as the Board of Directors believes that setting up factory in these countries would greatly reduce costs and would further expand their market.
You being a business consultant, have been called by the Board of Directors and Management, to look for a suitable country in these new emerging market countries for them to locate the factory.
You are required to present a report as well as to carry out a presentation based on a PEST Analysis. You need to convince the Directors of the organisation about the suitability and the merits of the country you have chosen.
Your goal is for your consultancy to be engaged by the organisation for further development work in this project.

Specification of Assignment:
1. You have to work in groups of 3 – 4 students to prepare this project, three in a group as any exceptional case. 2. Your write up must be in a formal report format. You are REQUIRED to use Harvard referencing methods for this assignment. 3. The length of the coursework (essay writing) must be at least 2,500 words. 4. Students should state the number of words used at the end of the assignment. The word should be calculated from Introduction Part of the assignment. You may include table of content, diagrams, figures, appendices etc. without word penalty. 5. The essay should be well-structured and the use of proper paragraphs for topic separation is encouraged. 6. 7. The assignment must be submitted on time together with its softcopy (in CD).
Your report will be marked based on the following criteria:
a. A report of not more than 2,500 words (70%) – Group based assessment i. Introduction (10%)
Introduction to the chosen country.
ii. Knowledge and Understanding (40%)
This criterion evaluates the overall comprehension of the student on the subject matter. The analysis should be done on Political, Economic, Social/Cultural and Technology aspect. Each aspect will carry 10%.
iii. Recommendation and conclusion (10%)
Marks will be awarded for the quality of argument or reasoning; depth of analysis; expansion of ideas/arguments; recognition of wider context/complexity of topic(s); evidence of comparison and contrast.
iv. Proper format, referencing and citation (10%)
Harvard Referencing is a must. Citation must include, apart from the normal details, the page number from where the issue for discussion has been taken. (Refer to University Handbook for penalty on plagiarism)
