Stay Hungry, Stay foolish
Steve Jobs wrote and delivered the commencement speech “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish.” to the graduates of Stanford University on June 12, 2005. It talks a lot about his life and the “great change agent” known as death. Steve Jobs was an American businessman, designer and inventor. He is best known as the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc. Jobs also co-founded and served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios; he became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006, when Disney acquired Pixar. Jobs also founded NeXT, a computer platform development company specializing in the higher-education and business markets. Steve Jobs’ big message, “stay hungry, stay foolish”, is remarkable because of its meaning; if you are not “hungry” of pursuing new things, you may stay foolish forever. He also makes a passionate case for finding love your work. And that you don’t settle for someone else’s idea of what you should do in life. Besides his life, he also talks about marrying different interests, finding love your work, and complementing your own death and how it will helps you figure out what you do with your life now. Jobs opens with a compliment for the audience. He follows that by showing humility in admitting that he never graduated college. In just a few sentences, he has made the audience feel very good about themselves, and increased their receptiveness to his message. He announce that he have three stories to deliver.
